Gaslighting Named the Merriam Webster Word of the Year ~ 2022

What is gaslighting? Other than just the Merriam Webster word of the year for 2022?

This year’s Merriam Webster word of the year, GASLIGHTING, is defined by the oldest dictionary publisher in the United States as follows:

noun – gas·light·ing ˈgas-ˌlī-tiŋ

I would like to say that the abuse didn’t start until I was older. In saying that it did, would make me a liar.

My family had gone on a hike a couple of hours away from our hometown. It was in the middle of the desert with no living thing close by.
