My Mission
My mission is to give hope, light, and love to victims and survivors of intimate partner domestic abuse. I do this by offering validation of their feelings and what they experienced, educating on the many facets of domestic violence, and providing inspiration and encouragement to move beyond to a life filled with peace and joy.
Hi! Welcome!!
If you’re here, you are probably like me.
You have painful, frustrating stories of your own around intimate partner domestic abuse that are too eerily similar to mine.
I was married to Dick for 18 years. In hindsight, he exhibited all the classic characteristics and behaviors of a narcissist.
However, since I’m not a psychiatrist and Dick doesn’t have an official diagnosis, I can only speculate and liken my situation to narcissistic abuse.
Like any textbook case of intimate partner domestic abuse, our relationship escalated from lovebombing to stalking to verbal abuse, then came the emotional and financial abuse, and finally it got physically abusive.
That’s when I got the courage to leave. Little did I know that the abuse would continue in the form of using our children.
The abuse Dick dished out after I left was heartbreaking and resulted in multiple trips to the court, him stalking me on a regular basis, and the alientation of our daughters from me. To this day, 10 years later, I still have one daughter who refuses to speak to me.
As you interact with this site, you will find strength and hope as you learn more about my experience and what I have come to know.
My Vision
I hold a vision for women and men who have been beaten down physically and/or emotionally from the insidiousness of intimate partner domestic abuse to heal the scars that remain inside so that they can step out of that suffering and live a life filled with peace and joy.
A Vision for You
My vision for you is that this site will help you find hope, light, and love through …
Validation of YOUR Situation.
Dick told me that I wasn’t being abused, that it was my fault he acted the way he did toward me.
Many times, he would deny that things he said and did to me and the kids ever even happened.
Sometimes I felt like I was losing my mind.
Education about Verbal, Emotional, Financial, & Narcissistic Abuse.
I didn’t have any idea that these were even a thing.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that what was happening to me was considered Domestic Violence. I knew that other women had things way worse off than me, and I wasn’t being hit in the face.
Compassion for YOU and Your Family.
Whether you choose to stay in your situation or to leave is up to you, but my mission is to give you strength and hope through my experience, no matter what you decide to do.
Are YOU ready to be strong? Let’s do this thing…. together!
